Hello, I know this is a dumb question but can you re-use the foam coffee cups from Dunkin' Doughnuts, Speedway and etc. I heard that there are toxic materials inside the foam and when you keep heating and re- heating the foam it releases the toxic materials and overtime could kill you. Is all of this true?...

Absolutelly not . Heat causes the stryfoam to produce a toxic chemical which is releaced into the air as well as the food or drink. Glass is much safer. It depends on what the cup is made of. If it's made of styrofoam, don't do it, because the meting point of styrofoam is lower than the boiling point of water.

I live off those things, I do it all the timeNever in stryofoam. It gives off gasses that can simulate hormones in the human body. No, No!

My friend told me the same. I think it should be okay if you just wash them.It has to do with how long the bottle is in use...and the emptying and refill process scours the plastic.. pulling out the plasticizers i wouldn't worry about this much, get a new bottle at least once a day.....

I have heard of nothing safer in my life.Yes. Just make sure you don't get burned if it's too hot.

It depends. There is no set time limit for things like that.As long as it doesn't smell funky, I'd say for as long as you can and good for you for reusing your cups.
