Make what my relatives in NY refer to as "garbage bread". basically you go out and buy one of those french bread loafs in a roll (by the crest rolls and cinnamon buns in the dairy section) and then add pizza sauce, a couple different type of cheese, pepperoni, sausage, onion, pepper. basically it's stuffed bread - but really good. Cut into slices - no silverware needed. Other other thing you could make is cheezy filled biscuits with marinara sauce. Just buy crescent rolls, shreadded italian cheeses, and pinch the cheese inside the rolls before baking. Good luck! How about a crock pot full of meatballs? You can buy the frozen ones and toss them into the crock pot with some jarred spaghetti sauce- you can doctor it up if you want, but you don't have to. Serve them next to a stack of small paper plates and some of those frilly toothpicks. Simple!
