You could put out a large soup tureen or punch bowl full of soup with a ladle serve the soup in cups and saucers to hold a piece of bread.. Make sure to put an adult in charge of serving the kids. The rest of the adults can serve themselve. I Garlic bread, brucetta or biscuits would be a good accompayment to the soup. I usually am short of oven room and go with finger foods I can prepare early in the day. Bruchetta with different toppings Chopped tomato, garlic and parsley Pureed white beans and roasted garlic Pureed Roasted eggplant, garlic and red peppers Pureed pumkin or butternut squash and goat or cream cheese The bruchetta toppings can also be used as dips for raw veggies. Cheese and dried sausage might not be very Thanksgivingish, but our ancestors did preserve meat by turning it into dried sausage.Everyone I know seems to like those lil' smokies in barbeque sauce. Throw them in a crock pot and let 'em sit. Can eat on a small plate w/toothpicks. Or meatballs w/gravy. Mini wrap sandwiches are also a good option. Good luck!!
