How to make Wheat bread?

I would like a good recipies for wheat bread. I am so sick of buying a new loaf every week! I want to try to make it. Thanks!

    i like whole wheat bread but not a loaf a dayI eat cornbread every day of my life. When I was a young girl, my dad grew lots of corn and he would take it to the grist mill and have it ground up into cornmeal. So, we didn't buy our cornmeal at the supermarket; we grew it on our land. The very first thing I learned to cook was cornbread. lol

    yes i love too eat but not more than two slicesI love bread topped or naked, as a sandwich or toast. I love the taste of yeast.

    I guess so - and why not add some whole hazelnuts to it and sprinkle oatmeal flakes on top - like this it is like the german type of bread!!! Tastes delicious with fresh cut meat or just plain butter on top when coming right out of the oven!They are actually to totally different recipes. Whole wheat needs dry milk and white bread needs regular. there are really good recipes on Foodnetwork.com Just type in at the top winkler honey wheat loaf and white loaf.

    Yes but only wheat flour may make bread britle so minimum 10% white & 90% wheat may be ok You can very % in above rangeI think I would go with a separate recipe for each one. I would think the wheat loaf would have more protein and less starch, which might make it require a little bit more sweetness...even honey...that the white bread wouldn't have necessarily.

    You could make croutons for salads and soups with it. Just dice up bread - put in a bowl toss with a little olive oil, dried herbs like basil and oregano, salt and pepper. Then put in a low oven (200 or so) spread out on a cookie sheet. They are don't when they are dried out. Crush one to make sure the inside is dry. Let cool and store in a ziploc bag and use within 2 weeks.Eggs Benedict. Toast the bread. Top it with a freshly fried egg, sliced ham or smoked salmon, and hollandaise sauce (a chesse sauce with a hint of mustard).

    I don't see why you couldn't use white bread for this. Peachy Bread Pudding with Caramel Sauce INGREDIENTS 2 cups fresh peaches - peeled, pitted and halved 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk 3 eggs, lightly beaten 1 1/4 cups hot water 1/4 cup butter, melted 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 4 cups French bread, torn into small pieces CARAMEL SAUCE 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup butter 2 tablespoons light corn syrup 1 tablespoon rum DIRECTIONS 1.Preheat an oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish. 2.Chop the peaches and lightly mash them in a mixing bowl. Combine the sweetened condensed milk and the eggs; add them to the peaches and mix well. Stir in the hot water, melted butter, cinnamon, and vanilla. Stir the French bread into to the custard mixture until the bread is completely moistened. Turn the pudding into the prepared baking dish. 3.Bake until a knife inserted in the center of the pudding comes out clean, about 1 hour and 10 minutes.bread dressing or stuffing..

    zucchini bread. Usually more like cake tho. Also how about cinamon & raisin bread?Ale batter bread is awesome and it was a big hit. You can use stout, too. In a bowl combine 3c flour, 1Tbs bkg. powder, 3 Tbs sugar and 1tsp sea salt. Add 12oz ale(at room temp.) and 2Tbs melted butter. It will be lumpy. Pour batter into loaf pan and drizzle with 2Tbs melted butter. Bake

    4 cups6-1/2 cups will make two (small) loaves. Two loaves is usually the recipe amount since that takes 1 package of yeast.
