I would put it into a crock pot with potatos, carrots, celery or any other veggie you would like that withstands hours of cooking. And then mix french onion dry soup mix or brown gravy mix with water and cover all. Cook on low 8 hours or so. You could do the same, but do a barbeque type flavor to it as well.

I put mine in a large roasting pan and bake it at 350 for a hour or a little more if it's a bigger one. Then I add whole potatoes, carrots and onion, cover it and bake for another hour to hour and a half til the carrots and taters are done.

I always do my roast in the crockpot using my grandmother's recipe...... Take roast, rinse well & place in bottom of crockpot. Add cut up potatos, carrots & onions. Over top, add 1 pkg lipton onion soup mix, 1 can cream of mushroom soup, 1 soup can of water, minced garlic, salt & pepper and 1 stick butter. Cook on low for about 8 hours - meat will fall apart when done.......I like to serve with fresh coleslaw & homemade cornbread.........Don't forget the sweet tea!!Ummm roast potatoes with lots of different herbs. Cook them slowly in a bit of olive oil and add paprika, chilli powder, oregano and any other herbs and spices you facny! They turn out delicious. Also why not try stir-frying some brocoli, its diffeent and alot tastier than boiled.

Crock pot is the only way to go, cook on slow all day, also add potatoes and carrots and 2 packages of Lipton dry onion soup, meat will fall apart will be so tender, Next day make hot roast beef sandwiches with it also, save the juices for gravy.you gotta wash it, you gotta fry all sides in hot oil and pepper . you gott to do it slow and not too hot for a looong time.

In a large roasting tin, cover with foil.Cook for about 1 hour, take foil off for last 20 minutes so it browns. Enjoy.I like to lightly fry it in olive oil pour brandy over and light with long nick lighter then put in a slow oven. Be cautious it will flare up a bit. The sugars in the brandy make the gravy YUMMY! I also cook stew meat on the stove the same way when a roast is too much. Place Stew meat in heated pan with olive oit Pour over Brandy light with lighter (carefully) Then add more brandy cook that down real slow Add a can or two of Swanson's Beef Broth cook long and slow add veggies if you like DG http://www.chelseawebworks.com

unthawed= frozen, you might want to let it thaw 1st. Cut into chucks and make stew.If it's a half way decent cut of beef, you can slice it very, very thin, and sear similar to making a stir fry, and serve with fried rice. Or if you have the veggies already on hand, make a beef stir fry. In any case, slice across the grain.

If it's frozen it'll be easier to slice. Slice it as thin as you can with a good kitchen knife but watch your fingers for safety. Put the thin slices in some jarred beef gravy and heat it up till the beef cooks to your liking. Serve over bread for open-faced beef sandwiches or serve on hoagie rolls. You can also serve the beef slices and gravy over cooked noodles.I sometimes cut a roast (particularly if it's an eye round roast) into steaks and wrap a slice of bacon around each steak and bbq or grill it.

Turn oven on at high power Weight beef - you are looking at about 20 minutes a pound Put beef into a roasting tin (preferably with a trivet) and I pop an oxo cube in the bottom with a bit of water Cover with foil Into hottest oven for about 30 minutes, then turn oven down to about 180 degrees and cook for the rest of its time. Take the foil off for the last 20 minutes or so. Take out, recover with foil and leave to stand for about 15 - 20 minutes.

On the contrary to what others have said, I actually put the veggies in with the meat in the beginning. After it all sits and cooks together for a good 8 hours, it's very very yummy. The veggies get a good flavor. I'm sure it's all just personal preference. You can cook potatoes and carrots with the roast beef, just wait until about the last hour before putting the veggies in as they don't take as long to cook.

yes, but don't put them in til toward the end of the cooking time. They will get mushy when over cooked. They do taste good cooked in the juices from the roast.I recommend you add the veggies at the beginning with the roast. With one hour left to go, remove the cooked vegetables and set aside. Add a second batch of vegetables and cook witht he roast fo rthe final hour. The reasoning is: the first set of veggies flavored the roast AND the pan drippings and can still be served to people who love the soft (mushy) veggies, packed with flavor from the roast AND...the second set of veggies will have more visual appeal and texture to them, which will please the other guests;) Oh - don't forget to add a lot of onions!!! You cook roast beef in an oven that is why it is called roast beef. You can cook either meat on top of the stove boil, fry,on a barbecue (similar to bake) In the oven roasted, baked. Are you looking for a recipe or just how to cook the meat.

The best is warm your oven at maximum. Insert the meat until it is dark toast, around 10 or 15 min. (turn it once). After that, cover it with a generous quantity of salt, wait 4 minutes and turn the oven off. Let it there until it is cold. If you have a electric oven, put the salt and turn it off immediately. You will remember it, specially the red color. it is the real roast beef. This roast beef is to eat it cold.http://certifiedangusbeef.com has a lot of very good hints and ideas for cooking beef. Roasts included. a 2 to 3 pound roast should be done in a couple of hours. I would put the carrots and potatoes and whatever else in when I put it on.

The only way I have ever cooked a roast is in the crock pot. Put your fresh veggies in the bottom, and cover with water. Put the roast on top. I sprinkle a packet of onion soup mix over the roast. Turn it on low and let it cook 8-10 hours. It will fall apart, and melt in your mouth.

Usually simmer it in beef broth in a large pot on the stove all day. Put some onion, carrot and potatoes in with seasonings. Simple and delicious.

Cut the roast into chunks (depending on how many people you are feeding)...Place each chunk of roast on a piece of aluminum foil with diced pieces of potatoe, carrots, onions, cherry tomatoes, etc, a tab of butter, salt and pepper. Wrap up and cook at 375 for about an hour (check to make sure done). This gives everyone an individual meal. It's just a neat way to do it.peanuts, potatoes, onion and u can make a wonderful mixveg by doing this.
