Don't forget to peirce the skin, or it will explode. Prick it a couple of times with a fork.Certainly depends on how many potatoes and your microwave. Start it at 3-5 minutes - turn the potato and hit it for another 3-5 minutes. Let the potato rest and it will cook with residual heat. If you aren't looking for crispy skin, wrap it plastic wrap, it will keep the inside moist. Be sure to puncture the potato - makes a mess if you don't.

7 minutes. That depends on the size of the potato. In my microwave it takes a min and a half, but I then put it in the oven/flavorwaver or on the bbq to get the skin a bit crisp instead of soggy.

Wash the potato well. poke holes in it with a fork on both sides. Microwave for 3 miutes, turn it over and microwave another 3 minutes. Let it sit five minutes before eating. Do not wrap it in anything.Pierce the potatoe with a fork of knife tip prior to cooking (to prevent it from exploding). I don't wrap mine. Place on plate and cook 4 minutes, turn over and cook 2-4 minutes more, checking if it is soft (careful...hot!!)

Wash your potato and stab holes in the flesh with a fork or knife...Then place it in a Ziploc "freezer" bag. The freezer bags are heavy enough to endure the heat without melting onto your potato or microwave. Put the potato in the bag and zip it 3/4 of the way shut place it in your microwave for 4 to 6 minutes depending on the size of your potato and the power of your microwave. It comes out nice and tender and not dried out like it would if you just put it straight in the microwave. What I have been told is you don't even need plastic wrap. Coat the out side with butter or Pam Butter spray, poke holes in it with a fork and cook for 5 minutes, after that flip the potato and cook for anther five. The butter is just to help keep it moist.

The answers you have giving an hour bake time in an oven is about right. A little less for a smaller potato. The important thing is do you want a crispy skin or a soft skin. Crispy skin brush or rub with a bit of olive oil or if you want to be "bad" some bacon grease. Sprinkle with salt and roast in hot oven. If you want a soft skin rub with a bit of oil and wrap in foil The foil will keep in the moisture and the skin will be soft because it has steamed. This holds true for baked sweet potatoes as well. Some say that you much poke the skin to prevent the potato from bursting but I have not had a problem in the past. If you want the potato to cook a bit quicker if you have a Kabob skewer run that through the potato and bake it with the skewer in the potato the heat will more quickly penetrate the center of the potato helping it cook from the inside out.Medium-small Russett potato (about 6"long) Scrubbed clean, pierced both sides with a fork ... cooked at 400 degrees-F for 1 hour.

yes i would rub them with olive oil or any cooking oil before baking...i do that even if i bake them in the microwaveYes you can cook a baked potato without aluminum foil. Clean the potato. Then stab it with a fork or knife so that steam can escape when it's cooking. The potato can be placed directly on your oven rack and will take from 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours to cook.

yes, you can throw it in the oven on a baking sheet or throw it in the microwave for 4-6 minutes based on how big the potatoe is and the power of the microwave... make sure to poke fork holes either route you choose.Use a fork to puncture 2 sets of holes in the potato, dampen a kitchen paper towel and wrap in around it and then microwave on high for 3-5 minutes depending on the size of your potato.

Set your oven on 450-500 degrees and get it pre-heated. Wash potatoes, dust with kosher salt and bake till knife inserted comes out easy. Put a puncture in the potato to prevent if from blowing up.Personally prefer Microwave. 2mins for a large potato. Fast and good. best put in a Micro safe dish with a centimeter deep water in it. Just bake in 250 F . Wrapped is always better. Wash and put. Gives some moisture. Time depends om size.

Wash the potatoes well, dry them and prick several times with a fork. Then rub over the potatoes with some oil. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Arrange them in the oven over a baking sheet to catch any drippings and bake for 1¼-1½ hours.you don't need the foil, especially if you like a crispy potato skin. Wash the potato, stab with a fork a couple of times, lay it on the oven rack and bake at 350 for 45min-1 hour, depending on the size of the potato or until tender.

Wash them- wrap each in a wet paper towel and place them on a Pyrex pie plate. Place them in the microwave for 3 minutes per potato. Test with a fork to see if they are done and are soft. Link to read more about baking in the microwave. http://www.wikihow.com/Bake-a-Potato-in-...You can wrap them in foil or not, set in a 350 degree oven for about an hour till a fork runs through them easily. Skins are good crispy.

Wash it, rub butter over it, and salt it. Poke holes in it, then either microwave or bake. To bake it, set the oven to 400F and bake for an hour. To microwave, see if there is a button that says "baked potato". If there is, chose that, but if there isn't, microwave for 5 minutes, poke a fork through to see if it's soft enough, then microwave it for a minute at a time until its soft if it isn't the first time. Good luck! (:Make a hole in the middle and put it in the oven until it's nice and tender . then , u can add anything u want on it & enjoy !

Poke holes in it with a fork and microwave it wrapped in a napkin for 3-4 min or until tender. You can also put it in the oven, without napkin, for about 10-20 min or until tender.just wash the potato, dry it, and use your folk to punch holes in the potato, and then put it in a preheated oven to 375 degrees for 1-1 1/4 hours.

season if you like and do not wrap in foil as this effectively steams your potatoe.. bake at 400 for a bout 45 minutes, should feel soft all the way through when you pinch it. enjoyAfter I clean the potato I rub olive oil on them and salt them with sea salt, than I wrap them in foil, the oil browns and crisps the skin and the foil keeps them from drying out! 425 for 45-to an hour depending on how large the potato is . also try try this with large white potatoes fantastic.
