okay so i am in a baking and pastry class and i have an assignment to design my own candy bar. it can have anything non-perishable in it. For example, caramel, nugget, peanut butter, peanuts, marshmallow, dried fruit, chocolate... i have so many ideas but they are all just like the candy bars that are already...

I would look for recipes made with roasted soybeans, that's your best source of protein after nuts for this kind of thing. Unless you want to use seeds-sunflower, pumpkin, chia, flax. Oats and wheat germ are good as well. You probably could substitute these in a recipe you already like.
