urinecrystal light is the best choice on a diet because it of the caffene
I am on a diet (well more of a "lifestyle change" than a diet) and I have been drinking a lot of diet soda... I'm a real sugar addict so things like Coke Zero and so on seemed great. However now I want to start being a bit more healthly, but I drink diet soda with everything. Crystal light still has calories in it...

Both contain aspartame (artificial sweetener) which is not good. Here is an article about aspartame... http://www.naturodoc.com/library/nutriti...they have the same kind of chemicals really. Artificial sweetner.
fitness water are great if you don't like the taste of plain water!Juices
veg juices ,buy a veg juicer...Lemon Water.
Fruit Juices, Gatorade/Propel, Vitamin Water, Lemonade, and all the other Gatorade Type drinks without caffeine in it.Try using Stevia. It's a completely natural and tastes like sugar. It doesn't raise your blood sugar levels.
You're right. Diet soda is actually worse for you than regular soda! Why? Because the artificial sweeteners in the diet soda are foreign to your body. Your body has no idea how to digest the "fake sugars" so it basically just sits there and clogs up space. I am a soda drinker, but realize I need to cut back as well. A few things I've tried to wean me off of soda that might help are: Pick a favorite fruit juice, and add some sparkling/carbonated water to it. This still gives you that "fizzy" feeling while drinking that most soda drinkers like. Try going to a natural food store that sells the brand Steaz or GuS (Grown Up Soda). Steaz is a soda made with no HFCS. It's made with green tea and a beet juice to sweeten it instead of sugar or artificial sweeteners. It's also organic. GuS is made with cane sugar, much better on your system than artificial sweeteners or HFCS. There are many teas out there that are good as well. Honest Tea is a good, flavorful tea that comes in many different flavors and is organic and good for you. I used to take a bottle of water to work and get those Crystal Light packages and add it to my water. There are a ton of options...Sprite Zero, Diet 7-Up, or Sierra Mist Free.
Enviga is marketed as a "calorie-burning" drink but it contains calories, unlike diet sodas are usually less than 1 calorie or no calories per serving. The best diet drink is perhaps just water for hydration. If you prefer some additional flavor or taste, there are plenty of such flavored waters out there. The choice between Enviga and Diet Soda is really a personal one based on taste and what it makes you feel. Its healthful and other benefits are up for debate. Your best bet is water - that'd be my choice.I didnt like Enviga. I like to drink sparkling favored water( I get it from the grocers or Target) and crystal light.
you actually have to drink 3 cans of Enviga to burn 100 calories. given the caffeine content, i suggest try something else. it will give you the shakes if you drink too much.
Most diet soda now a days has caffeine in it. Caffeine is addictive and you could be craving the caffeine in the soda, instead of the actual soda itself. You could try drinking caffeinated water, or maybe some coffee, if caffeine really is the problem.Your body is immune to it. Your body sends signals to your brain whenever you drink water to have soda cause your so use to it. Drink lots of water to break this habit and i agree that crystal lite and wylers lite, which can be found at any supermarket, is both healthy and delicious as opposed to diet soda. They have plenty of flavors, such as peach ice tea or grape, I loveee the raspberry flavored one, and it's only 5 calories per serving! Hope this helped:)
You need to think water - a case of 'mind over matter' (diet soda).make sure it is very cold, so it will "be refreshing", kind of mimicking the feel of the bubbles in soda. at least that si what i need to do to convince myself to drink water.
Diet Dr Pepper.Diet does seem like the obvious answer...maybe you want to cut out sodas all together? Or cut down on sodium? People did used to think that any soda on a diet was bad - but now they have found that as long as it's low cal or no cal it's just fine in moderation. You can try Crystal Light with sparkling water (carbonated water). You can buy little packets and add to water in bottles you can buy at school. Hansens has a line of natural sodas that are good and low cal/sodium too. You might want to think about not limiting yourself at school, then you might not come home and want to pig out. That many calories at the end of the day is stalling your diet way more than if you just drank the soda at lunch (maybe limit it to 1 in the am and 1 at lunch and try NOT to have any at home or just 1 if you are craving it). Good luck!
honestly, diet drinks are bad for you. Drinking yoghurt drinks are good for you :-)um..water
yes...less sugar. but i found (along with a lot of other people i know) that crystal light has "fake" sugar, which gives me (and others) headaches and stomach pains. it affects people differently. so before u go and buy a whole box, try to buy just one and try it, because u don't know how it will make u feel. But it is better than pop. if u cant drink crystal light (for whatever reason) try drinking propel or flavored water, that might be a little different.Water is the best. Crystal light contains sweeteners that probably cause cancer. Regular soda contains more sugar and calories, but fewer carcinogens. I'd say drink water or regular soda. Don't go with the NutraSweet type stuff b/c it's all just chemicals that cause cancer.
Kombucha is amazing, theres this brand called Synergy, it is delicious and it only has 4 grams of sugars and it is delicious and bubbly. It is basically a tea but it taste like a mixture of a soda pop and wine to me. It has amazing health benefits such as it supports digestion, metabolism, immune system, appetite control, weight control, liver function, body alkalinity, anti-aging, cell integrity, and healthy skin and hair. The guy who created it actualy used it to cure his mother's cancer. You can get it at a health food store like Whole Foods. This is what it looks like: http://www.gtskombucha.com/ Other than that, mineral water with lemon juice and stevia (natural herbal sweetner) is a delicious alternative to soda pop or lemonade.Green tea is very good for you, but i think you're sort of looking for a thirst quenching drink. Maybe give 'Carpe Diem' a try, it's expensive though.
Drink juices that are made 100% from fruits. Read the contents label carefully, and do not drink if Sugar/glucose is more than 15%
crystal light is good. oh and remember that if you switch from soda to water that saves you 15 pounds a year.....You could try switching to tea, or green tea, it has less caffeine than coke but still some, it can help ween you off, however expect to feel crappy for a few days because it is like a drug and you will probably have a headache after coming off of it, otherwise a another option would be to drink less and less every day and fill it with water, or if you need some flavor, use the crystal light powders in your water and drink that for awhile. I personally dislike pop so i don't drink it but I can see how it can be addicting just like coffee is for some people.
diet water, lol, it is healthier than water :POrange Juice Apple juice...............
Too many good ones are out there. You'll just have to experiment.Milk, juice or tea.
